Rothschild Runs for Mayor

Tucson Attorney Jonathan Rothschild is hoping to be Tucson’s next mayor. Rothschild is running as a Democrat, but says if he is elected the political designation will not follow him into his meetings with the members of the Tucson City Council.
Rothschild released a plan for his first 180 days in office. Much of that plan is centered on listening to different parts of the community. He also says one of the first things he will do, if elected, is to designate a small business liaison within his office.

I looked into Rothschild. He is nice to listen to but when it comes down to it he hasn't done anything that shows he can do the job of Mayor well. It reminds me of when Obama was running, nice to listen to and he was inspirational but he also didn't have accomplishments that showed he could lead. We overlooked that and it was a mistake assuming it would all work out anyway. Rothschild looks like the same thing. A lot of words, very few actual accomplishments, and none that show he can do the job of Mayor and none that demonstrate an ability to turn around a faultering City government. He inherited a law firm and was a Democrat Party muckity muck and that got him the Party Tresurer job that he has had for a long time. I'm sure there's a connection with being the Tresurer and getting $300k in donations. From what I can tell, since he isn't seeking matching funds there is no limit on how much a single donation can be. 300k is sure an awful lot of money for a 36k job all right. Somebody would sure get a lot of 'access' for that kind of change
