A Day in the Life of Hotel Congress

Episode 1023

Hotel Congress has become a crossroads for people from all walks of life and from all over the globe who come to experience the authenticity of Tucson.

The historic Hotel Congress celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019. To mark the occasion, we documented the iconic Tucson hotel/restaurant/nightclub/music venue over a 24-hour period, from midnight to midnight on Friday, October 4, 2019. We captured early morning pie-making and late-night liveliness; supernatural goings-on and the reflections of long-time regulars; a series of lovingly delivered headbutts and an Australian’s exuberant love for bacon and eggs—all of them just part of a day in the life of this unique cultural hub.

This episode was originally aired on November 22, 2019.
