Sabino Canyon, popular desert destination for thousands of people each year, is showing off its spring colors.
Blooming now are ocotillo, palo verde, desert rock pea, desert honeysuckle, fairy duster and many more.
The canyon is open daylight hours.
Coming this fall, Sabino Canyon's visitor center will showcase photographs of the diverse plant and animal life for the public to see.
The photographs were captured by Fred Fisher, a U.S. Forest Service volunteer.
Through the photos, visitors can experience the many desert species throughout the year, even when the plants are not currently in bloom.
