Forest Service
The US Forest Service says it has located a man wanted for questioning in connection to a recent wildfire near Mount Lemmon. The man was seen on video firing incendiary shotgun rounds at a target, setting fire to the surrounding shrubbery. The resulting fire burned more than 100 acres before being contained.
The forest service says it located and interviewed the "responsible individual" and the case is now in the hands of the US Attorney's office for potential prosecution. The individual was not identified.
Starting a fire in a national forest is illegal, as is firing incendiary ammunition on public land.
