According to the National Weather Service, as of Friday, Tucson has received almost four inches of rain since the beginning of the monsoon on June 15.
That’s two inches above average for this point in the season. This doesn't include any rain that fell at the airport, which is the official rain gauge.
Sierra Vista’s rainfall totals are also hovering around four inches, while Nogales has received about 3.5 inches.
The recent rains mean the Tucson area has to receive just under two more inches of rain to reach normal accumulation totals for the season, which wraps up September 30.
